Varsity Head Softball Coach

Biography:

Coach Ciara Wilson-Santos is from Lansing, MI and relocated to Battle Creek, MI in 2023. Shortly after, she accepted the Head Coach position for the Lady Bearcats Varsity Softball team. Coach Ciara's love for the game started when she played T-ball through Lansing Parks and Recreation. From there, Coach Ciara continued playing through middle school and for her high school team, Lansing Everett where she was a two-time All-Conference honoree. After high school, Coach Ciara played for The University of Olivet (previously Olivet College) from 2009 through 2013 as an outfielder having a career batting average of .295 batting average and a .888 fielding percentage. Coach Ciara's favorite college memory is when she led the team with 5 homeruns for their 2010-2011 season. 

Following graduation from The University of Olivet with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports/Recreation Management, Coach Ciara volunteered her time coaching the Lansing Waverly Jr Warrior softball team from 2009 to 2018 and earned her Master's Degree in Business Management from Davenport University in 2015. 

Coach Ciara continues to play softball recreationally winning State and National titles with her women's slow-pitch softball team outside of coaching both the Battle Creek Central Lady Bearcats and the 12U Red HangTuf Fastpitch travel Softball team out of Lansing, MI. Coach Ciara serves as the Director of Recruiting Education and Training for the HangTuf Fastpitch Softball organization.
